Short description

In recent years the focus of studies in the art and archaeology of Cambodia has shifted more and more from the metropolitan area of Angkor to the monuments and archaeological sites in the provinces of the former Khmer empire. A lot of new material has been collected and helps to shed light on the question of how the relation between the centre and the periphery was.
This panel invites all scholars who do research on Angkor and its impact on the surrounding areas and, vice versa, as well as the influence of these areas on Angkor.
